“You have a new notification” is made of transparent epoxy resin in the same proportion as the human brain. It is integrated with Arduino and is connected to the artist’s phone. The program I wrote there can cause the built-in LED lights to flash when my phone receives a new notification.
My average screen time on the phone is 9 hours a day, which got me thinking about my relationship with this object, which seems to be sort of an extension of my arm, a projection of my brain, my virtual organ .
This data in the phone can continue to work and make predictions after the ontology dies. Is this disguised technological product a projection and materialisation of our virtual organ?
